Tax Planning

RHHS can provide sophisticated counseling on tax issues relating to corporations, partnerships and LLCs, and a wide variety of business transactions. Our tax practice is led by George S. Cabot, who has an advanced law degree (LL.M.) in taxation from the University of San Diego, providing tax planning services on most federal, state and local tax issues faced by businesses. Our experience includes tax planning and structuring in connection with mergers and acquisitions, choice of entity for start-ups, planning complex entity structures involving affiliated entities, structuring and drafting complex distribution and tax allocation provisions for partnership and operating agreements, stock option plans and other forms of executive compensation, exit strategies for closely-held businesses and formation and operation of tax-exempt entities.
