Our representation includes due diligence and land acquisitions, land use and zoning issues, and the handling of related construction and lending issues.

RHHS’ clients include sophisticated landlords and tenants for whom we regularly analyze and negotiate leases of all ranges of complexity. Our work includes the preparation, negotiation and finalization of lease documentation for a wide range of real properties that include commercial, office, retail, industrial, and manufacturing uses. In addition, RHHS has vast amounts of experience in structuring lease workouts and negotiating and resolving tenant disputes.

RHHS represents a varied set of clientele, including financial institutions, receivers, homebuilders and developers, in loan workouts, foreclosures, bankruptcies, receiverships, and in the management and disposition of REO properties. RHHS full service practice includes bulk sales of nonperforming loans and REO properties and workouts of loans for residential, commercial and mixed-use properties. Our practice has additionally included the representation of receivers in the negotiation, sale and litigation of partially competed mixed use urban centers, retail centers and mixed use properties.

RHHS’s experience in the construction process includes the drafting and negotiation of construction and design contracts, construction management agreements, change orders, mechanics’ liens, bond claims, and the resolution of the same through alternative dispute resolutions and litigation.

RHHS regularly assists national, regional and local residential and mixed use builders successfully comply with the requirements of California’s Senate Bill 800 (also known as “SB-800” and the “Fix It Bill”), which is a consumer protection and right to repair law that went into effect on January 1, 2003.  SB-800 applies to new residential construction, including new condominiums, where a sales agreement with a homebuyer was entered into on or after January 1, 2003.
